Every starter kit comes with everything you need to start filling: a cartridge sized to your cone, a riser, a tamping tool, the vibration table, a stabilization mat and a switched extension cord. Kits that fill up to 121 cones include the VB1 table (9 inch round) and SP1 mat; 300 Series kits (315 to 389 cones, plus the 389-tube Artisan Tube kit) include the VB2 table (8.75 x 11 inch rectangular) and SP2 mat. Need more cones per run?
The 300 Series fills 315 to 389 cones in one session: 389 in 70mm and 84mm, 331 in 98mm Classic and 315 in 109mm King. A big day takes fewer runs, with one setup instead of several. It runs on the VB2 vibration table, which Humboldt Filling Machines makes in house.
How it works
- Load. Set the cartridge on the vibration table and drop an empty cone into every hole.
- Fill and tamp. Pour your material over the cartridge. The table shakes it into every cone at once, which is what makes filling much faster. Tamp firmly early in the fill for a tight, even pack.
- Lift and twist. Switch the table off. Standard cartridges: set the cartridge on its riser so the cones push up. 300 Series: release the red clamps, remove the detachable base and set the cartridge top down on a flat surface so the cones push up. Then remove each cone and twist the end to finish.

Find your cartridge size
Your cartridge size is your cone length. Measure from the tip to the open end in millimeters, and any standard cone of that length fits. Slim, slender, lean or Reefer 98s go in the 98mm Slim, and standard-width 98s go in the 98mm Classic. Not sure? Try one cone in a $9.99 C-ONE first.

Start small, grow on the same table
Buy the table once and add a cartridge for each cone size you fill. Cartridges start at $29 and come with their own riser and tamping tool. When your volume grows, move up to a bigger cartridge on the same table.
Vibration tables start at $369. The VB1 (9 inch round) runs 7 to 121 cones, and the VB2 (8.75 x 11 inch rectangular) runs those plus the 300 Series. The SP1 mat goes with the VB1 and the SP2 mat with the VB2.

The vibrating device is CNC-machined from stainless steel, then hand-configured and quality-control tested. Cartridges are made from sustainably sourced, durable bioplastic. Do I need the vibration table? You don't need to buy one separately: every Humboldt Filling Machines starter kit includes the vibration table, which shakes your material into every cone at once.
Will my cones fit? Yes, if the length and width match. Pick the cartridge that matches your cone length, and use the 98mm Slim for slim or Reefer 98s. The size guide shows every size.
What's your return policy? You have 30 days from delivery to return any unused starter kit, cartridge or C-ONE in its original packaging, with no restocking fee. Email info@humboldtfillingmachines.com with your order number; for returns for your own reasons, you pay the return shipping and supply the label. Cones and sale items can't be returned. After that, the lifetime warranty covers anything that breaks.
How long does it take to fill cones? About an hour for 121 cones on a 121X cartridge with a vibration table, by a well-trained maker, roughly 2 cones a minute. That's an estimate, and your own time will vary. Run your own numbers in the ROI calculator.
How do I clean a cartridge? Rinse it with hot water up to 130°F, or use an isopropyl alcohol and salt mixture for residue.
Do you sell to shops? Yes. Apply for dealer pricing on the dealer page. Drop-ship orders have no minimum. For distribution orders, a $2,000 minimum applies to your first order only, and reorders have no minimum.
